Developer relations engineer
EngineeringRemote · Full-time
About the role
We're looking for a Developer Relations Engineer to bridge the gap between Burnr and the developer community. You'll build integrations, write technical documentation, create example projects, and represent Burnr at events and online. This role is equal parts engineering and communication.
What you'll do
• Build and maintain integrations with popular tools (Slack, Jira, Figma, GitHub, etc.)
• Write and maintain clear, comprehensive API documentation and developer guides
• Create sample projects, tutorials, and code snippets that showcase Burnr's capabilities
• Engage with the developer community through blog posts, social media, and conferences
• Gather developer feedback and advocate for improvements to Burnr's APIs and SDKs
• Collaborate with engineering to design developer-friendly APIs and webhooks
What we're looking for
• 3+ years of software engineering experience with strong TypeScript/JavaScript skills
• Proven ability to write clear, engaging technical content (blog posts, docs, tutorials)
• Experience building or consuming REST and/or GraphQL APIs
• Comfort presenting to audiences, both online and in person
• Familiarity with the creative/agency tooling ecosystem is a plus
• Self-motivated and able to manage your own priorities in a remote setting
• Bonus: existing presence in developer communities or open-source contributions
What we offer
• Competitive salary with equity participation
• Fully remote — work from anywhere in the world
• Conference and travel budget for speaking engagements and community events
• Flexible working hours with async-first communication
• Annual team retreats and regular in-person meetups
• Learning budget and top-tier hardware
• A unique opportunity to shape how developers interact with Burnr
